Heaven & Earth
I painted the original version of this tree over a period of years, starting with the sky and the tree, and after some changes in my life, I discovered the element of “roots” needed to come into play. Then the square embellishments came in easily with symbolism and the color yellow representing the energy. I think of this as “Grandmother”.
Spirit of the Wood
Flowing easily onto the wood, the process felt very organic. This piece was created using Balsawood, stained with liquid acrylics, beads and colored pencil. I found it fit perfectly in an old canvas stretching frame that I had on hand. Size: 8×24″ Offered At: Private Collection
