The bright optimism that came into this at a time when I was having so much trouble finding light, in a very dark time for our country – really surprised me. Sprinkled with symbols and a loose affiliation with the constellation of Aquarius – I was looking for peace.
The feather sail is carved and fired stoneware, the boat had a previous life as a painting sample stone. Coming together on stained and painted wood. Custom frame, ready to hang.
This piece feels like the balm I needed after Witness.
